 E. Vuillard's «Misia Natanson dans la Forêt» Re-imagined


Édouard Vuillard’s eponymous painting as an interim frame in a latency space — it began in 2023 with the question, if AI could turn it into a photographic snapshot? Today AI can go further still, producing brief videos: Misia steps out of the canvas, perhaps stumbles; leaves rustle, wind stirs the foliage, a brook gurgles. Everything is synthetic, yet grounded in Vuillard’s brushwork. The AI acts like a time machine, transporting a tableau more than a century old into a vibrant present.
