WATCHING A GORA DRIVE BY WHILE TAKING A PEE

Shot on the road between New Delhi and Agra in late 2012, only these two consecutive video frames form a perfect pair with the proper offset to create an optical 3D illusion, making the antique stereo viewer (found at a flee market in Owego) not a rehash for optical phenomena or theories of perception but the one apparatus to appropriately preserve and present this singular set of two in our present day, in essence putting the venerable equipment to an original use.

Afterthought: the man, when turning his head, ever so slightly changed the direction of his discharge, leaving behind a trace of urine salts that would tell a future archaeologist about a distraction from his fleeting business.
